DT1001 Handheld Pulse Eddy Current Detector

DT1001 Handheld Pulse Eddy Current Detector

The BEONDT DT1001 pulsed eddy current tester is a portable non-destructive testing device designed for rapid screening of corrosion and thickness reduction in metal structures with insulation or coating layers. The DT1001 is the basic, practical model in BEONDT's pulsed eddy current series, emphasizing rapid on-site screening and cost-effectiveness, making it suitable for industrial users who require regular large-area corrosion surveys. For more complex or higher-precision testing needs, BEONDT tech also offers upgraded models (such as the DT2008) to meet different scenarios.

The DT1001 pulsed eddy current detector can detect corroded areas in metal objects without removing or restoring the insulating coating (non-conductive coating) on the metal. It can measure the thickness of metal through insulating layers such as rust, dirt, scale deposits, or paint up to 60mm deep.

The DT1001 pulsed eddy current detector measures the average thickness of the metal under the sensor. Users need to find a point of known thickness on the workpiece to calibrate the device, after which the device will measure all other points relative to the calibration point. It is suitable for general area corrosion and large-scale canker corrosion, both internal and external, of metals.

Application Scenarios

1) Detecting corrosion on metal components of ships through thick paint layers

2) Detecting metal corrosion in pipes with internal cement coatings

3) Detecting corrosion in metal brackets of streetlights

4) Detecting rusted steel pipes without cleaning

5) Corrosion detection in PU insulated pipes

6) Corrosion detection in pipes with three-layer polypropylene coatings

M1 On-line Corrosion Monitoring System

M1 ultrasonic on-line corrosion monitoring system is a non immersion monitoring system. Our non-intrusive systems use  electromagnetic acoustic transducer sensor technology and wireless data delivery to continuously monitor for pipework metal loss from corrosion or erosion in the most difficult environments. Due to the use of electromagnetic acoustic transducer non-destructive testing methods, the probe and metal parts can be lifted by 4mm during measurement, so there is no need to clean the workpiece and it has no damage to the workpiece itself. In addition, the system can also simultaneously monitor changes in coating thickness to help users better assess the corrosion status and remaining service life of the object.
