Product Description

The PECSCAN 16 Array Pulsed Eddy Current Corrosion Scanning System is designed to detect corrosion under insulation without the need for insulation removal. It is suitable for in-service pipeline inspection.

This pulsed eddy current scanning system enables diagnostics without surface pretreatment or insulation dismantling. The insulation layer can be any non-conductive coating, such as polyurethane, mineral wool, plastic, paint, or air. The insulation cladding material can be aluminum or galvanized steel.

The system measures the average metal thickness beneath the sensor array. It is suitable for detecting general corrosion and pitting corrosion on both the external and internal surfaces of pipelines.

The system operates effectively even under galvanized steel cladding. It supports connection of up to 16 pulsed eddy current probes for simultaneous scanning, with flexible configuration options for fewer probes when needed. The device and sensors are housed in impact-resistant plastic casings with rubber protective padding. The display and main unit are protected by tempered explosion-proof glass.
